The river Wye is ideal to complete your British Canoe Union One Star Award, we have a selection of River Wye introductory trips on our door step, the BCU course is run throughout the trip on the go, bring a packed lunch, Monmouth Canoe Instructors are top experienced paddlers, highly qualified and trained. The River Wye waters are ideal for this British Canoe Union BCU course. Equipment is supplied by Dagger kayak, Mad River, Old Town Canoes, Palm Equipment.

An introductory award covering the fundamental skills. Delivered over a scenic day river trip, bring a packed lunch. Choose canoe or kayak.
The BCU say "A flat water canoeing or kayaking award that demonstrates an individual has basic boat control and foundation skills.The one star can be taken in any kind of paddlesport craft (e.g. sit-on-top, slalom C2, polo boat, sea kayak, racing canoe)"
